The Best 10 Yoga Poses to Gain Flexibility and Improve Your Posture

10. Ballasana, or child’s posture

This is a classic pose often used at the beginning of a more intense yoga session. Though simple, it offers numerous benefits, such as helping to restore energy between postures, enhancing body flexibility, and promoting relaxation for better sleep.

Start by kneeling with your back straight and your legs together. Slowly lower your hips to rest on your heels. Keep your thighs in contact with your torso, and gently lower your forehead to the ground. There are two variations: one with your arms extended forward and another with your arms placed behind you, next to your feet. Both variations promote relaxation and should be held for about a minute.

Yoga is a wonderful practice for maintaining flexibility and agility. While some poses may be challenging at first, with consistent practice and patience, you’ll gradually improve and experience the many benefits it offers.
